  The Earth Tones are a folk band of Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA - Region 5, Chicago, IL) employees, who first performed together to celebrate Earth Day on April 22, 1996.  Formerly known as "The Ad Hoc String Band," the Earth Tones play an eclectic mix of old-time country, string band, Celtic folk, Cajun, and folk-pop.  The Earth Tones have performed a concert every Earth Day since 1996, and numerous other gigs.

CFC Mardi Gras Fundraiser Concert
For Hurricane Katrina Relief
U.S. EPA - Region 5 - February 21, 2006

To help with the continuing Hurricane Katrina relief efforts in the Gulf Coast Region, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency hosted a Combined Federal Campaign Mardi Gras Luncheon benefit fundraiser on Tuesday, February 21, in the Lake Huron Conference Room.  Entertainment featured EPA's own folk group, The Earth Tones.
